I don’t think every action or outcome can be reduced to politics. That political considerations take precedence in a specific action does not mean other factors (like religious zealotry) weren’t present or didn’t matter.

You are assuming that Hindu-Buddhist violence is exaggerated relative to Muslim-Hindu violence. There is no basis for this assumption. In fact, its likely the other way around.
